AFTERNOON CONCERT

Sunday, April 28 – 2 p.m.

Auditorium

Adam Gawlikowski & Friends will perform a benefit concert for Bishop Noll’s Ignite & Inspire capital campaign on Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m. in the Bishop Noll auditorium theater. Cost of the concert is $20 in advance, or $25 at the door.

Come join us for a fun-filled afternoon of American folk and popular music performed by Gawlikowski, BNI ’60, George Buck ’72, Mark Frederick and former BNI choir director David Herr – and in the process help Bishop Noll’s Ignite & Inspire campaign.

Gawlikowski, whose public singing and performing career took off while a student at Bishop Noll, is known for his classic folk music and other traditional materials, including a mix of Broadway show tunes and sing-along songs from the 1950s.

Buck, a veteran teacher at St. John the Baptist with degrees from Indiana University and Calumet College of St. Joseph, has played percussion for 40 years with various bands and church ensembles. He currently performs with Visions of Santana and is a founding member of the Titus Rodes Band.

Frederick, who has two music degrees, toured with his family’s gospel band in the ’70s, and later would play bass for such still-popular Fifties groups as the Platters, the Coasters and the Drifters.

Herr is a graduate of Wabash College, where he performed with the college’s prestigious Glee Club. He is an accomplished keyboard artist and choir director. He directed Bishop Noll’s choir from 2012 to 2018 and now directs the Gary Diocesan Choir.
