GIVING TO BNI
WAYS TO GIVE TO BISHOP NOLL INSTITUTE
Bishop Noll Institute's progress over the years has been made possible by the continued support of our alumni and friends. Their gifts enable us to continue to challenge, educate, and enlighten our students and to help us fulfill our mission. Our website now gives you the opportunity to learn more about giving to Bishop Noll and even contribute to our Annual Fund online. For questions on making a gift to BNI, please contact: Matt Chico, Advancement Assistant, at 219.932.9058, ext. 1005 or via email: mchico@bishopnoll.org. Your consideration and generosity are greatly appreciated.
ANNUAL FUND
The Annual Fund is the largest fundraising effort at Bishop Noll Institute. Annual Fund monies support the gap between current tuition costs and the actual cost of educating each student. Click here to make your gift now.
Note: Credit card donations must be received by December 17th in order to be processed by your card issuer by year's end.
PLANNED GIVING
If you're looking for the most tax-effective gift to make to a charitable organization, your individual retirement account (IRA) may very well be the best choice.
Providing for the future well-being of your family and, at the same time, supporting the mission of Bishop Noll Institute can be accomplished through a variety of gifts known as planned gifts. Planned gifts, such as bequests and income-producing gifts, can provide benefits to your family now and in the future, and are gifts that will benefit Bishop Noll Institute for many generations to come. Other gift opportunities, including the use of retirement assets, allow for maximizing the current and future benefit both to your family and to Bishop Noll Institute. We strive to strengthen the mission of Bishop Noll Institute by involving its alumni, parents, and friends with the current work of the school. If you have included Bishop Noll Institute in your estate plan, please share the news with us so that we may honor you.
STOCK TRANSFERS
Giving appreciated stock to Bishop Noll Institute is a wonderful way to help us continue our mission and for the owner to receive tax benefits on such gifts. It allows Bishop Noll Institute to receive a larger gift than if it was sold by the owner and the proceeds donated to the school. In turn, the owner receives a greater tax deduction by giving the stock directly to Bishop Noll Institute.
Many people who own stock today have it held for them by their brokerage firm. To sell the stocks/securities held by your brokerage firm, you can request an electronic transfer to complete the transaction.
Another means of maintaining holdings of stock is to take delivery of the stock (receive the stock certificate) when purchasing. To sell or transfer stock when a physical certificate is held by the owner, a manual transfer must occur. The owner needs to take or mail the stock certificates to the new owner, a bank or brokerage company (for them to transfer), or to the company’s transfer agent.
FILL EVERY SEAT
Bishop Noll Institute holds a special place in the hearts of its students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends. Now, through our Fill Every Seat Fund, you can make your mark at Bishop Noll Institute and leave a legacy that family, friends, and future Warriors will enjoy. After looking at new seating choices for our auditorium, we discovered that refurbishing our all-metal seats with hardwood arms would give us a rich beautiful product without the expense of replacing the seats altogether.
This is where you can help us make this dream come true. You can “fill a seat”. When you purchase a seat, you will be honored with an individual brass name plate on the seat or seats you buy. Each seat is only $250. There are over 500 seats to fill! Want to buy a row of seats? There are 7 seats per side row and 14 down the center. Send your money today to the "Fill Every Seat" Fund. Be sure to include the name you want on it!
SCHOLARSHIPS
Bishop Noll Institute is a special community that thrives because of the common purpose of its constituents - students who want to learn, faculty who want to teach, alumni and donors who provide necessary funding and leadership, and parents who expect the very best education for their children. Everyone is a stakeholder in the future of our students. The result is a dynamic environment for learning in which we work together to prepare young people to successfully meet the challenges of living, learning, and working in the world. It is Bishop Noll's ministry to promote and maintain a diverse student body composed of young women and men from a wide range of cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Scholarship dollars are an important facet of our fundraising efforts in fulfilling that ministry. Tuition at Bishop Noll Institute for the 2010-2011 school year averages $6,950. Please consider funding a scholarship to support the current students at BNI.
Again, please contact: Matt Chico, Advancement Assistant, at 219.932.9058, ext. 1005 or via mail at mchico@bishopnoll.org with any questions on making a gift to BNI.
