Untitled Page		PRESS ROOM Bishop Noll Institute to present Internet Safety Program Hammond – Oct. 30, 2007 - Bishop Noll Institute is pleased to present a program on Internet safety for our students, parents, faculty and staff. We have invited Mr. Art Wolinsky to address our school community on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. In 1998 Mr. Wolinsky retired from 30 years of teaching math, science, and technology in grades 5-12. Now in his second lifetime, Art has moved into a consulting role with school districts, helping teachers infuse technology as they restructure curriculum as well as providing safety information for all those involved with children. He also serves as OII's Technology Director and has been involved in national projects such as the National Action Committee for UNESCO's WiredKids and the U.S. Department of Education's Expert Technology Panel. He has written numerous magazine articles and a six-book Internet Library for students. (Enslow Publishers). Mr. Wolinsky is a member of WiredSafety.org and makes presentations to schools across the country. Mr. Wolinsky will make his presentations to Bishop Noll Institute students throughout the day on November 7th and then will continue his work with the faculty and staff in the afternoon and then make a presentation to parents in the evening. Local educators are welcome to attend the afternoon presentation which begins at 3:15 in the Media Center at the school. Please call the school to register for this free program. Local parents are welcome to attend the evening presentation which begins at 6:00 p.m. Current Noll parents do not need to pre-register but we ask that others wishing to attend the meeting call ahead to register for this free program.
